Most of us aren’t natural born runners, swimmers or bodybuilders. Chances are we’ll never ever win a race unless everyone else gets the date wrong. But that doesn’t really matter does it? Finishing a race you never thought possible and not too long ago wasn’t possible for you is a tremendous accomplishment. While we might not reach the speeds of the elites we’re still out there training before dawn and after dark. It could reasonably be argued that lining up at the start line and crossing the finish line later knowing full well it won’t be your name in the paper is the mark of real dedication!
