It’s finally March you guys!!! That means winter is almost over and spring is just around the corner and then it’s summer! Think about how great last summer was. The water was so warm and the days were so long! I spent so much time in the water last year even after triathlon training was done I did an almost nightly swim out to the point and back in the ocean. Some nights two or three times. I retrieved quite a few RC boats in my skivvies too! I spent more time on my paddle-board than every before. My favorite thing to run in is a running skirt and bra and for almost 4 months that’s all I had to wear. I didn’t do as much hot yoga in the yard as I’d like but all that other stuff kept me pretty busy. While running I also discovered where chantelles grow near my house and spent hours foraging for the first time in my life, I might even be part hippie now! I literally biked to the next town over (25 km away), over and over again and honey and I went on so many bike rides together to visit our friends about town. Sure he was on a mountain bike with a motor but I got to finally got to make friends with my road bike. I spent almost all summer in my bathing suit top and that continued with the fall we had.

I’m not really bragging here but rather trying to make a point. That point is that I didn’t pass up a single opportunity because I couldn’t physically do something. I didn’t spend a single moment covered up and uncomfortable because I had second thoughts about my body. I had all sorts of new adventures and had even more fun doing my favorite things over and over. I didn’t spend a single perfect night inside because I was too tiered after a long day of hard work. There were a few years in my life where I couldn’t say that you can read more about that in an upcoming post supporting those that decide to live a more sober lifestyle next Wednesday. If you didn’t have that exact same sort of summer last year for some reason within your control, then I’m here to tell you you’re missing out. It very well might be because of how your taking care of your body. Maybe you need to lose some weight, limit the alcohol or drugs, eat a better diet (still working on that) or make some room for me time in your life. Whatever it is that’s holding you back from a summer like that, July long weekend is still 17 weeks away. Four months is so much time to start taking your life in a new direction, so start right now! Think of it as your first investment in the best summer of your life, so far!
It’s not too early to start thinking about your summer bucket list and you’ll find a cute free printable to help you with that here.
