We made it to 100 ya’ll! On some level when you’re running you’re pretty much going in circles for no reason, using up all of your energy and it’s hard for no reason while you’re doing it. One answer you’ll get is how much it adds to their life. The thing is it has a way of teaching the right lessons, to the right people at exactly the right time.
It can teach you great things like that you are capable of more than you ever though possible or that you can do things you thought were impossible. It will also teach you how hard it really is to do those things. It teaches you so much through the very act of running and all the time it gives you to think. I thought that I’d take this 100th opportunity to tell you about what it’s taught me.
More than anything else it’s taught me that I’m strong both physically and mentally. Oftentimes even those closest to me wouldn’t think that, but inside I know I am. Running has taught me both that I need to take better care of myself in my 20’s and now that I’m older that it’s not selfish to do so. it’s taught me to stick with things and challenge myself that there are immense rewards in that and finally that it’s one of the best ways to connect with the world.
So this weekend take some time to think about what running has taught you!
